Accommodation Details.

Living / Dining Room   -  'Cintique' 3 piece suite, dining table and chairs, coffee tables, colour tv, DVD and video, inset electric fire, cd/hi-fi, books, games and jigsaws.

Kitchen Fully fitted wood units, well equipped with double electric oven, microwave, fridge, washing machine etc.   Door to the garden.  There is a small chest freezer in the garage.

Bedrooms 1 double, 2 single (one downstairs), all with views across estuary, the main bedroom in particular has  a  cushioned window seat and 2 easy chairs.

Duvets, pillows, bedspreads and blankets are provided.  Linen is not provided.

Bathroom   Full  bathroom suite,  separate shower and shaver socket.

Garden   There are magnificent views across the estuary from the terraced garden. The garden has a bench, garden table and chairs and a clothes line.

General

No Pets ...No Smoking ... Please take a look at our Welburn property if you want to bring a dog.

A deposit of £90 is required, the balance to be paid 4 weeks prior to the holiday on receipt of which the keys and directions for Ford View will be sent. Arrival is from 3pm onwards - departure is by 10.45 am

According to the RSPB  "Our Mersehead (7 miles from Kippford), Ken-Dee Marshes , Wood of Cree and the Mull of Galloway nature reserves in Dumfries and Galloway have been offered over £203,000 towards visitor facility and habitat improvements over the next three years.  We will be building new tracks and birdwatching hides, upgrading information and displays and improving habitats  to attract more birds and more people.  Dumfries and Galloway is one of Scotlands best birdwatching areas, with thriving seabird colonies , birds of prey, wetlands and wading birds, such as lapwings.  Our work will improve the areas for wildlife and tourism.  Thank you to the South of Scotland European Partnership for part-funding this work."  The WWT Caerlaverock reserve is 28 miles away -  www.wwt.org.uk/visit/caerlaverock and there are red kites at Loch Ken.
